Hi Keith,
I sometimes randomly get this pop-up of preview when I am copying text just like the one in the screenshot. As per the selected option it should show up for images and when handling HTML colors, neither of which should be present when copying data from Notepad.

This is expected, as "DEF" can be an abbreviation for DDEEFF which is a valid colour code. Basically there's an HTML colour code parser that the copied text gets passed to, and if it returns a valid colour code, the preview popup is shown.

A search bar would be very handy, like the one you get for advanced settings.
