Hi All,
I love CF, but it's eating up my HDD space and want to mitigate that. How do I get CF to only copy text to the database. I feel like it's also copying pictures and files and destroying my storage. I just want it to do text and sync to my account so I can get the text on other devices. What's the best way to keep a small managed db? Do I need to delete manually?

That's weird.

I have set my clipboard history for 100 items as maximum number of items. Furthermore, I have a lot of pictures and files in the history, however, the size of the folder where the DB is stored isn't more than 400MB.

Can you check the size of your folder?

C:\Users\[YOU USERNAME HERE]\AppData\Local\ClipboardFusion

Regards

It's 6.15GB !!! Something is screwy here, should I uninstall, restart, then install again?? I checked another computer I share with on my network and it's 14.6GB !!

The database .db file is only a few MB on one PC, but I have tons of cfcache files in there, the largest being 5MB. The other computer has the db file at 1.6GB.

Let me ask you two things,
1. what have you set for: Clipboard History-> Clear items older than?
2. maximum number of items in history?

Furthermore, my suggestion is before you move on to uninstalling, you should try clearing the history and see if you get the space back. Do right click the tray icon and select "Clear Clipboard History" & "Clear Clipboard Content".
NOTE: It will clear out all the content in the clipboard

If the folders are still taking the same amount of space then something else is happening, so then try deleting and re-installing but do so after Keith instructs you. I am just trying to help out. Keith will know better. :)

Clipboard History -> Clear Items Older Than was not checked for me. So maybe it was holding on to literally everything?
Maximum number of item in history was set to 20, so I'm guessing that wasn't it.

I cleared both Clipboard History and Contents, and the folder still sits at 6.15GB. I'm going to remove from all devices, then install onto my main device and see how it does for a few days. Then I'll systematically install on my other devices assuming it doesn't balloon up again.

I'm not 100% sure why the cfcache files would end up piling up like that. I will check in with our devs and see what I can find out.

Thanks!

As an aside while we figure this out, any clue why the Android app won't work? I login and just get a white screen, nothing happens...

The Android app is working correctly for me on Android 8.0. Which version of Android are you running?

Regarding the cfcache files, they should clear out when you exit ClipboardFusion. If you exit ClipboardFusion, then check %localappdata%\ClipboardFusion, are the cfcache files still there?

I'm on Android 7.0. I've uninstalled due to the size issue, then reinstalled. Once I login, the screen switches between blank black and white, it's really weird

I checked the local appdata and the cfcache files are gone. Not sure what it was but appears fixed ATM.
