When I copy or cut text in MS Powerpoint slides, CF is capturing it as an image rather than as text I can manipulate on the clipboard using a macro. Is there any way to fix this?

Hi Frank,

Unfortunately, there's no real way to stop this. When copying from power point, it will save both text and an image to the clipboard. Whatever application you are pasting to should correct the formatting though.

Thanks!

Hi, this continues to be a problem for me, even within Powerpoint. When I copied text from a slide and tried to paste the text into the note on the slide, nothing was pasted. I have to close ClipboardFusion to edit my powerpoint slides! Is this expected/intended? Is there a way to get it to simply paste the text, even if it doesn't allow me to use macros to change the text? Powerpoint is such a common program I can't imagine that the team thinks that it's ok for ClipboardFusion to simply break an essential functionality of the program. Thanks for any advice.

Hi Frank,

Strange, it should be pasting the text in the notes section. I just tested it out on my end and it seemed to be working fine. Could you send me over a backup of you ClipboardFusion Settings? You can grab them in the Options tab of the ClipboardFusion Settings window, using the "Export Settings" button.

Thanks!

Hi Frank,

Thanks for sending that over. I think your trigger that runs the "Save Copied Image to Disk" is causing this. If you disable that trigger and restart ClipboardFusion, does the issue persist?

Thanks!

Disabling that does allow me to copy/paste in Powerpoint. Is there a way to set both triggers so that they will not interfere with each other?

Hi Frank,

If you add "-PowerPoint" without quotes to the Window Text condition in that Save Image trigger, does that work? That should prevent that trigger from running on PowerPoint windows.

Thanks!

Thanks, that fixed the Powerpoint problem, but now I get 2 copies of each image I screen capture rather than one. I made a change to the save path location, but I don't understand why I am getting 2 copies. Can you help? My current settings are attached.

Hi Frank,

Could you send me over a screenshot of your clipboard history window when it adds the double entry?

Thanks!

Interesting — I get a double image saved when doing a screencap of Microsoft Edge web pages, but not other programs! And the image appears only once in the clipboard history. Does that give enough info to troubleshoot?

Hi Frank,

Interesting, do you get two previews when copying it to the clipboard? Is this while using the Ctrl + Shift + S key combination in Edge as well?

Thanks!

I was getting two copies when using Shift+Win+S. But now, maybe after reboot, it's no longer happening. Thanks!
