I had been using clipdiary for a long time. It is quite good too. Then I have been facing some occasional issue with history menu popup not appearing in certain apps. So I am trying clipboardfusion and so far it is way more advanced and extendable using macros.

But is there a hotkey or macro to automatically paste previous and next clip upon release.

In clipdiary we could set for eg "ctrl + [" and "ctrl +]" to browse through history of clips one at a time. Each clip appear in a small popup. Reach the required clip and then "ctrl + v"

Another useful setting is that it could automatically paste upon releasing these hot keys. Just click ctrl + [ till u reach the required slip and release.. auto pasted!

Is there a similar macro or hotkey?

There sure is! On the Settings > Hotkeys tab, set a key combination on the "Show Quick History Menu" hotkey. When you press that key combo, the history will popup. You can navigate it with the arrow keys and select an item with the Enter key. Alternatively, you can keep holding your modifier keys, and then each press of the keyboard key will move down one entry. For example, I use Ctrl + Shift + V for the key combo. If I press Ctrl + Shift + V, keep holding Ctrl + Shift, and tap the V key, each time, it will move down one entry. When I let it go, it will automatically paste the selected item.

Hope that helps!

No problem! At the moment we don't have a proper help guide for ClipboardFusion, but we're hoping to write one up in the future :)

It would have been useful if we could scroll both directions and release though in certain cases if we pass the required clip.
Why dont you start a wiki or github documentation so that we users can contribute to it?
For eg : https://github.com/rockettheme/docs

Sorry for the delayed response on this! We're planning to add proper documentation for ClipboardFusion sooner rather than later :)

Note that you can also just press the Quick History hotkey, then use the arrow keys and the enter key to select an item to paste.
