Hello, I started storing some of my passwords as Clipboard Fusion pinned items for quick access so I'd like to know if these values are encrypted when stored on disk.
I found the database at C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\ClipboardFusion\clipboardfusion.db and based on some other posts it appears to be the file where Clipboard Fusion values are stored but when I tried to open it I was prompted for a password. I tried using my Binary Fortress password and that did not work.

Anyway, a couple of questions:

- Are pinned Clipboard Fusion values stored in this database?
- Is this database encrypted?
- How can we open this database?

Hi Dean,

Yep that's where they are stored, and the database is encrypted. We have it encyrpted with a password that we control, so we don't hand it out to customers.

Thanks!

Thanks Owen, can you also confirm that unless the sync feature is enabled none of the contents of that database are uploaded to Binary Fusion or anywhere else or accessed by anyone remotely? In other words, that the data contained in that database is fully private?

Yep that's correct. The only information sent back to us is mentioned in #10 and #11 of our EULA, which also mentions how to disable that: https://www.clipboardfusion.com/License/
