In Settings-[Clipboard Manager Window] “Auto-paste on Clipboard Manager selection” is disabled. In Settings-[Clipboard History Options] “Auto-paste on Quick History Select” is disabled. And “Auto-paste on Local Pinned Select” is disabled as well. However, when History List is (hotkey) selected and /or Pinned List, nevertheless selecting the item thus putting the mouse cursor on the item and click it will paste it.

See attached Owen. When word processor is NOT the last window, than of course on selection nothing happens. But when word processor is last window, on selection there is a paste. So in the video I start with the first situation and secondly the 'last window' thereafter. See the settings at the beginning, so I do not want auto-paste, I only want to select the History item.

Tx - this was bugging me too.

FWIW I found a lot of the default "smart" behaviour default a bit scary. Automattic pasting of content when you're not expecting it can have rather unexpected results! In fact anything which departs from the default clipboard behaviour can be rather unsettling.

If there was a vote then I'd favour disabling a lot of these "smart" features by default and let users enable them later as desired.

for the time being, not a left mouse click for a selection, but a right mouse click !? right mouse click gives you the (unwanted) context menu, but can be ignored and selection is there .... but in the future ... better to have tailor-made options in Settings for this wonderful and appreciated piece of equipment.
