HI,
I have noticed (only just looked) that ClipboardFusion is using a lot of memory (2,183.2 MB).
I assume this is because of the "stuff" I have copied recently being stored in memoory rather than a database?
Is there a way to reduce this memory usage?
Cheers,
Paul
Do you copy a lot of images, or just text?

Hi Keith,
A few pictures but mainly large amounts of text (copying csv exports to an excel sheet).
I guessed that would cause the memory figures IF the history was stored in memory and not in a database.
If my assumptions are correct then would clearing the history (or specific entries) reduce the memory load?
It is not causing a big problem, just curious and just in case in the future.
Cheers,
Paul
2 GB seems high for just copying text, but yes, the history is stored in memory. If you restart ClipboardFusion, and just leave it running for a while without copying large amounts of text, does the memory usage increase slowly over time?

HI Keith,
If I restart ClipBoardFusion the memory drops to about 850MB but if I look at recent items it climbs back to near 2GB. I have noticed that my copied items are not syncing to the internet either.
This has happened before but started working again without my intervention so again not bothered about it.
I will try deleting the history to see what happens.
Cheers,
Paul

Now deleted the history in a few batches. Each time the memory would increase then settle back but to a higher figure.
After deleting all the recent items a few minutes ago the memory is still jumouing up and down, max 3+ GB down to 1GB.
I have now restarted it. The memory is now 92.0MB, much better.
This explains the memory usage so I need to watch what I copy.
Cheers,
Paul
Ok, interesting, thanks Paul! It must have been due to the amount of text in the Recent Items. Thanks for following up!
