Clipboard Fusion 1.5 has stopped loading. It reports, "An error occurred while starting Clipboard Fusion. Font 'Tahoma' does not support style 'Regular'"

I have uninstalled and reinstalled, with the same result.

How can I fix this?

Thank you.

It sounds like your Tahoma font has been corrupted. However, I have fixed ClipboardFusion so that the next release won't be dependent on the Tahoma font at all. In the meantime, what version of Windows are you using?

I am running Windows Vista Ultimate SP2 with all updates. I will see what I can do to replace the font and try again.

My Tahoma Regular .ttf was not corrupted: it did not exist. After searching for Tahoma Regular, I finally found a copy to install and CF now starts properly. However, as near as I can tell, it has not existed in Windows or Office since XP, which seem now only to include the Bold .ttfs. I can't find them on my install disks or at Microsoft Downloads online, but did eventually find a Regular .ttf font from IE6 to install.

I also came across this while googling:

"msttcorefonts has an amusing history; Microsoft licensed the fonts for anyone to freely use (regardless of OS) to help boost the market share of IE. When they won the first browser wars, they removed the files from their site… but the license says you can freely redistribute them so that’s how we can legally use them.
BTW, I filed a bug on launchpad because Tahoma isn’t included in the Debian/Ubuntu versions of msttcorefonts . . . ."

At any rate, your other users may need a link to the revised version.

Thank you.

Thanks for following-up! I have removed the dependency on the Tahoma font for the next ClipboardFusion release, so hopefully this can be avoided in the future. :)
