In my Clipboard Manager settings, I have unchecked "Keep Clipboard Manager open after losing focus" and check "Auto-paste on Clipboard Manager selection". Prior to 5.5.1, this meant I could use my "Show History Menu" keyboard shortcut make a selection with the arrow keys and press enter. This would paste that selection and the Clipboard Manager would disappear.

Now it pastes my selection, but Clipboard Manager stays visible.

It seems to work the way you're expecting when I test on my system here. Could you attach a backup of your ClipboardFusion Settings (Settings > Options > Export) so I can test with them here?

Thanks!

Thanks! It seems to work here when I test with your settings as well. Could you send me a debug log?

  • On the ClipboardFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1:Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Restart ClipboardFusion
  • Reproduce the issue and note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the %APPDATA%\ClipboardFusion\ClipboardFusion.log file (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

Well, restarting ClipboardFusion "fixed" the issue. I've seen this intermittently, so it could be related to run time.

Luckily, I already had L1 logging enabled (woops). I had made a screen capture in case you wanted to see it and grabbed a timestamp from there. I encountered the issue around 3/12 2:31pm.

I have since disabled L1 logging.

Thanks! I don't see anything out of the ordinary in the debug log. I usually have my ClipboardFusion set to keep the manager window open, so I'll disable that and see if I can get it to happen here as well.

Just a quick update to let you know that I haven't run into issues yet during testing, but I'll keep at it. How long does it usually take before it starts acting up on your system?

Unfortunately I'm not sure. I have not seen it since restarting Clipboard Fusion as part of the steps you provided in post 4. My system has been up and without issues for nearly 8 days now.

My latest theory is having L1 logging enabled for extended periods of time may have contributed to the issue. I no longer have L1 logging enabled. If I run into it again with logging disabled, I'll bump this post.

If you'd like me to try and reproduce it by running with L1, I'm willing to try that.

Ok, thanks for following up! Don't worry about trying to repro it with logging enabled. I'll bump mine up to L3 logging and see if I can get it to happen here.

If you run into any more trouble, definitely let us know.

Thanks!
