Hi, I found that my CF used 25% of my Intel I5-4670K @4Ggz. It seems to me that's too much.
I killed the task and restarted CF, looks like Ok for now. Just want you to be informed, Keith.

Thanks for the heads up! Is there anything specific you're doing at the time that the CPU runs up?

Nothing extra ordinary at that time. Usually I haven't any tasks that can bring me CPU overload. My task dont' eat more that 30% of CPU each as usual, that can be Grunt LESS compilation, Git repository update, even firewall and backup creation. The responsability of comp is full usually.

Ok, could you enable debug logging and send a log the next time it happens? Here are the steps:
  • On the ClipboardFusion Settings > Troubleshooting tab, change the Logging drop-down to "L1: Log Minimal" and click Apply
  • Restart ClipboardFusion
  • The next time the CPU runs up, note the time so we'll know where to check in the log file
  • Send us the %APPDATA%\ClipboardFusion\ClipboardFusion.log file (can be found by clicking the Open Log button on the Troubleshooting tab)
  • Disable debug logging after sending the log

I wonder if this has something to do with database size. I was checking the log file for anything (nothing helpful), and saw the database was 95MB. That seemed large to me, so I renamed it and created a new database. Now to see if it occurs again.

Could you guys do the following?
  • On the Windows Task Manager > Details tab, right-click the column headers and choose "Select Columns"
  • Add the Handles, Threads, GDI Objects, and User Objects columns
  • The next time the ClipboardFusion.exe CPU usage runs away, let me know what those numbers are at

Thanks!

User Objects - 136
GDI Objects - 142
Handles - 784

After disabling nice fonts, ClipboardFusion runs with 0 CPU for already 3 days without restart and extensive usage. For me it fixed the problem

Hi Keith,

I am facing the same issue of high CPU usage. I started the log after the issue after it happened so not sure if my logs would me of much help. But they are attached. Along with the details page of task manager with handles & GDI columns enabled.

Let me know if something else is required.

Thanks,
UWK

P.S: For the details of task manager picture, the sequence is HANDLES, THREADS, USER OBJECTS and LAST GDI
Handles = 987
Threads = 29
User Objects = 425
GDI = 547

Here is another log started just seconds before the high CPU usage.

Also if I do a copy from a complicated website it even without trigger it goes high cpu immediately.

Maybe, you can reproduce it:
goto http://www.wuxiaworld.com/
Select from home till couple of line below and press CTRL+C. and voila high CPU

Oh :/ Can someone with windows 10 x64 try it? Maybe it's the OS.

Here is a video of me pressing CTRL+C @ 10/11 seconds into the video.

Also if anyone has noticed that when it hits the 30% high cpu usage, if you try to right click the tray icon and click exit, it will do nothing. You have to end it from task manager

P.S: Please ignore Snagit high cpu in the video, that is the video recording software I just downloaded to record this issue's video.
