Hello,
I've recently experienced the following behavior:
What I Expect to Happen
When copying from Excel and then pasting into Application A, and then copying from Application A and pasting into excel, the item copied from Application A should paste into Excel.
What Actually Happens
The item from Excel pastes into Application A just fine. When the item from Application A is copied, and and then attempted to be pasted into Excel, the item that was copied from Excel earlier pastes instead. The copy border that circles the original copied cell still shows.
The copied item from Application A can be pasted into Application B just fine. The clipboard is effectively split.
Steps to Reproduce
1. Copy text from Excel (e.g. noreply@somedomain.com)
2. Paste excel Item into another application (e.g. Notepad++)
3. Copy Item from the other application (e.g. a userid)
4. Paste into Excel
Tentative Work Around
I've added Excel to the "Ignore Programs" list. This seems to correct the above behavior and Clipboard Fusion seems to work fine still.
I'm going to take a guess that excel maintains a separate clipboard from the System Clipboard and copies items into the System Clipboard from this Application Clipboard. It then monitors changes to the system clipboard to change it's own clipboard. For whatever reason, with Clipboard Fusion loaded Excel is unable to see changes to the System Clipboard properly and adjust the application clipboard accordingly.
I'm not sure how ignoring excel fixes the problem either
Also not sure if anything needs to be done about this. This post is more informational than anything I guess.
